On the occasion of the unveiling to the public of the Sunset lamp by French Designer Alban Le Henry -the first object produced by It's Great Design- an exhibition is organised at the Galerie Italienne in Paris.

The aim is to exhibit a single product: a lamp that reproduces the horizon line and the luminous effect of sunset light. The idea is to associate the lamp with different prints of landscapes dear to the designer and to present the object-landscape combination on wooden supports at different heights. This creates a multitude of landscapes in the sunset. 

In a second space, the creative process behind the making of this single product is displayed on a long table.

Alban Le Henry: “My creations express my way of seeing design. I try to be synthetic in what I design. I hide nothing and I eliminate everything superfluous. The object has to tell its own story, so that its simplicity is obvious and its function apparent.”

The lamp is made of a truncated spherical shell that diffuses light indirectly and creates an opalescent effect due to its slight transparency. SUNSET is an object with a communicative power.
